How do sizes differ from era to era?
ReplyDeleteThe sizing of vintage to modern sizing is quite different. Women in the 20's to even the 80's were much smaller.
ReplyDeleteFor Vintage , I always size things appropriately to reflect Modern, wearable sizing.
What once was a 13/14 juniors from the 70's
will only fit a 5/6 in today's juniors.
Dramatic difference....does that go for men's sizes as well?

my collection continues to grow....
The collecting began when I was 13 years old
my first vintage bag was a silver foli metallic 60s Box Bag...It is amazing!
By 2008 I had over 250 vintage bags!!!
Finally parted with 75 of them in a Huge Sale in my boutique---the women went WILD and they were sold in less than 1 week!For added happiness and luck each of my bags to be sold I placed a shiny penny to bless each bag..
Amazing months later customers came back to tell me what cool things and good fortune they had found and yes they happily said, this penny we are not spending!
Blushing ----It was awesome to make so may Fashionistas happy and it gives me more wiggle room in my closet..You never know when I might have to add a COOL retro Bag to the collection.
